Church Bulletin

Many of you have asked about how to obtain the church bulletin and the process to have information put in it. The bulletin is usually at the printers by Wednesday of each week, so we usually look to have final information by 5: OO pm on Tuesday. You can send your prayer request to the church email. Any outside news must be submitted in time for the approval of the Elders before it can be put in the bulletin for that week. Outside information will include but not limited to info from other sister congregations, personal info and events that require using the building (weddings, workshops, etc). We are also working to out the bulletins online this website.

You are welcome to the

East Point Church of Christ

Annual "Back to School" Blessings Day will be hosted on July 27th

From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

This year we will continue with our "giveaway" of school supplies, but we will add college resources, scholarships and college recruitment. We are asking that you register to come so that we can have a better idea of the number of supplies to have. Registration is not required.

Prison Ministry

When you talk to most folks in the church and you mention jail, prison and certainly the notion of going into the prison for any reason you begin to hear crickets.  No matter how you view the subject God expects the church to visit those who are "in prison" according to Matthew 25:36,39, 43,44.

Church of Christ Prison Ministry in South Carolina 1996 -

Brother Weeks and the late Brother Latimer teamed up in the 1990's to reach souls in the jails and prisons in the State of South Carolina. The churches of Christ were in 3 jails and 20  prisons throughout SC. Since that time over 3,000 souls have been baptized into Christ. Brother Latimer, Brother Bailey, Brother knight and others worked with Brother Weeks to reach many souls! Brother Latimer passed away in May of 2016. His work is still being felt in the Prisons.

The Work Continues...

Today Brother Weeks continue to reach souls in prison not only in South Carolina but in Georgia, Florida and many other States. We ask that you pray for this work and support it.

Churches of Christ and Prison Ministry

History in Texas

The church is very active in the ministry of reaching the incarcerated. For years brothers like Buck Griffith served for over 43 years as the prison director of the Kings Crossing church of Christ prison ministry. He retired in 2021. Hundreds of souls were led to Christ over the years.

Featured Brother on Page

In 1998 brother Weeks was called to the John Alvin Detention Center to speak with a young man who wanted to know more about Jesus Christ and the church that He promised to build. His roommate (Mr. Grant)  had spoken with brother Weeks and had obeyed the gospel. Marcus told Mr. Grant that he wanted to meet Brother Weeks. Brother Weeks was contacted and met with Marcus and taught him the gospel that same year. Today Marcus is still walking with the Lord and incarcerated and Brother Weeks continues to visit, write and talk with him after 26 years!
